Technical Users

The Technical Users view lets you add, edit, or remove users, showing details like client ID, secret, and group paths.

Technical User refers to a non-human entity within the Catena-X system that is responsible for executing specific tasks and functions related to data exchange and management.

The technical user "Semantic Model Management" for example, manages the lifecycle and governance of data structures of submodels, ensuring their semantic consistency across the ecosystem.

Filter Technical Users

Use the Sort Feature in the header to sort the technical users in an ascending or descending order. When using this feature, the affected column header is highlighted.

Add a Technical User

Selecting Add Technical User opens a dialog where you can configure a new technical user. Assign the necessary permissions to a certain component to access it from the Dataspace OS backend.
​NOTE: We strongly recommend assigning a separate technical user for each component.

Show Technical User Details

To show detailed information about a technical user, select the desired technical user from the list.

More Options for Technical Users

  • To edit a technical user, select the Options Menu and select Edit. This will display the edit dialog.

  • To remove a technical user, select the Options Menu and select Remove. Confirm the removal.
