The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) has launched the Data Space Accelerator, a study designed to help particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) join the Catena-X data space in 2026. Depending on the selected use case, participating companies will receive financial support of €15,000 or €30,000 net. The International Data Spaces Association (IDSA), the Catena-X Automotive Network e.V., and Cofinity-X GmbH are responsible for implementing the study.

Registering your interest
Submit your interest here. You will receive an email notification once your application has been reviewed and accepted. Save your Program ID from that email, you'll need it to access your dashboard.
Accessing your dashboard
Once accepted, you will gain access to your personal program dashboard. To sign in, navigate to the link https://data-space-accelerator.com/auth and request a secure login link using your registered email address and the Program ID shown in your confirmation email.

Choose a solution from the Marketplace
Once enrolled, head to Use Cases below to begin implementation.
Compensation and fees
Compensation is milestone-based and paid after verification, independent of your actual implementation costs.
A Data Readiness Certificate fee applies: €650 (Basic) or €1,300 (Advanced), invoiced after successful data exchange.
At the end of the program, you'll submit an invoice to IDSA to claim your compensation, your dashboard will guide you through this.
