Retrieve your BPNA for Certificate Management

Before a certificate can be shared, the supplier is required to retrieve a BPNA for each individual location to which the certificate applies. This step ensures that every certificate is accurately linked to the corresponding address, enabling transparent allocation and traceability across locations.

By creating a separate BPNA per relevant location in the Cofinity-X portal in advance, suppliers help maintain data consistency and support a structured and reliable certificate-sharing process.

Overall the process consists of the following steps:

Go to portal, and browse to Dataspace Participation → Add Business Partner

1.1 Add the information of your legal entities
When you click the “Add legal entity button”, a pop up will appear:

Please enter the information of the legal entities for which the requested certificate applies,
eg, Automotive Corp USA, LLC and Automotive Corp Germany GmbH etc

1.2 Add the address of the location for which you need to send the certificate
When you click on the “Add additional address” button, a similar pop up will appear:

Please add the address of the location for which you need to send the certificate.

Cofinity-X will process the address data and generate the BPN for you. This process typically takes 2 working days. You may check the status at any time at the same “Add Business Partner” page. Records which are still being processed can be seen in the “Needs attention” tab.

Once processed, the BPNA for your location will appear:
